Business and Sales Development Officer

Job Purpose

  • The Business and Sales Development Officer will be responsible for attracting and retaining more customers in the company.
  • They are responsible for growing the company’s market share, visibility and awareness, and ultimately sales numbers. (Bottom line revenue).

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Liaise with the Manager to determine and set revenue goals, targets, and budgets for each business year by the company’s vision.
  • Create sales and marketing plans for achieving the set sales target (Monthly, quarterly, and yearly).
  • Market the company’s products to new and existing customers
  • Create a model for retaining existing customers
  • Set up, optimize, and grow the company’s social media marketing channels and presence.
  • Organize and oversee advertising, communication campaigns (social media, TV, Newspaper, etc.), exhibitions, and promotional events.
  • Create sales reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly) by targets and budgets and results achieved and submit them to the manager.

Requirements
Qualifications Required:

  • Minimum of HND or equivalent preferably Business discipline.
  • Ideally, 2- 5 years of experience working as a Sales or Business Development Officer with a reputable organization. (Experience in a manufacturing company is strongly preferred).
  • Relevant certifications will be an added advantage.

Skills Required:

  • Working and practical knowledge of computers and the internet
  • Excellent knowledge and use of social media and online marketing channels
  • Working knowledge of modern work tools such as google workspace
  • Proficiency in Ms. Office and CRM software
  • Proven sales track record

Competences Required:

  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Strong sales planning and negotiation skills
  • Great with numbers and mathematical calculations

Job Purpose

  • The Security Officer will be responsible for safeguarding the work premises, staff, and visitors at all times to ensure safety and protection.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Monitor, control, and authorize the entrance of vehicles and people on the premises.
  • Confirm products carried out by delivery drivers at the gate before departure.
  • Secure all exits, doors, and windows after the end of operations.
  • Patrol premises regularly to maintain order and establish a presence.
  • Detect any suspicious behavior and prevent vandalism, threats, or other criminal behavior.
  • Investigate people for suspicious activity or possessions and report them to management for escalation to a higher authority.
  • Respond to emergencies to provide necessary assistance to employees and customers.
  • Prevent losses and damage by reporting irregularities, informing violators of policy and procedures, and restraining trespassers around the premises.
  • Complete reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities, interviewing witnesses, and obtaining signatures.
  • Follow procedures for various initiatives, including fire prevention, property patrol, traffic control, and accident investigations.

Requirements
Qualifications Required:

  • Minimum of OND or equivalent in any discipline, preferably Security Studies.
  • Ideally, 2- 5 years of experience working as a Security officer with a reputable organization. (Experience in a water company is strongly preferred).
  • Certification from a well-recognized and accredited Security Agency (will be an added advantage).

Skills Required:

  • Knowledge of Security Operations and Procedures.
  • Knowledge of Basic Security and Fire Inspection Procedures.
  • Superb Surveillance skills.
  • Excellent physical condition (Must be physically/mentally fit, with a minimum height of 5.6ft for males and 5.4ft for females.).

  • Scrub and sanitize toilets, kitchen fixtures, and sinks.
  • Empty dustbins frequently to avoid unwanted flies and odor.
  • Report any breakage that occurs during cleaning.
