January 2022. Roving Facility Manager

Location: Lagos

Job Description

  • Conduct periodic unannounced property inspections on weekends, nights and early mornings to determine the performance of key service providers, i.e. janitorial service, landscaping, security, technician/handyman services, etc.
  • Assist in the delivery of FM Bottom Line on all contracts to agreed service levels
  • Assist in the development and deliver quality, FM services on all client contracts.
  • Co-ordinate the production of performance reports and carry out analysis of the results and take appropriate action to ensure continuous improvement is achieved.
  • Respond to changes in client and occupier requirements as agreed via the appropriate authorisation process.
  • Conduct site inspection
  • Involvement and input required with the Portfolio Manager for the selection of service providers.
  • Assure full compliance of all service providers with property specifications and standards.
  • Responsible for daily inspection and supervise Preventive Maintenance plans o Oversee the correction of maintenance issues that relate to the interior space

Qualifications

  • First Degree in Estate Management, Business Administration or any related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in facilities or property management
  • Ideal candidate must have worked in a Facility Management Company
  • Sound communication skills
  • Knowledge of Facility management software will be a plus

Brand Communications Officer

Job Description

  • Manages the administration of the company’s website ensuring correctness and brand consistency of information thereon
  • Responsible for creating internal and external brand strategies that will position the Alpha Mead brand as the Biggest & Best Total Real Estate company in Africa.
  • Write, edit, and distribute content, including publications, press releases, website content, annual reports, speeches, and other marketing material that communicates the organization’s activities, products and/or services.
  • Generates and develops ideas for effective brand placement and enhancement of brand values
  • Translate company business objectives into creative and executable corporate communications strategies and programmes
  • Work with Marketing Communications Manager in the production of company branded collaterals and corporate gift items, including identification and negotiation with relevant vendors and suppliers, stakeholders and business partners such as director, key clients, and industry colleagues
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies and programs to promote the branding as well as products and services of the company.
  • Maintain a rigorous and consistent approach to branding, messaging, content, quality and general look and feel throughout all communications and external messaging
  • Seek new methods and creative strategies to increase internal and external awareness of key events and changes in the organisation including the launch of new products, special events, local and global community service, and other topics of interest.
  • Effectively monitor the implementation of the brand, communication and CSR policy of the organisation.
  • Manage relationship, through communication, with Alpha Mead stakeholders such as Employees, Media, Board, Regulators, etc.

Qualifications

  • B.Sc. Degree in Mass Communication, Marketing, Public Relations or any relevant field
  • 2-4 years’ relevant experience in a communications role
  • Excellent communications (both verbal and written) and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrate exceptional strategic thinking and planning abilities.
  • Knowledge of SEO optimisation and Google Analytics
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, Adobe Premiere Pro and other video editing software will be a huge plus
  • Experience in copywriting and editing

  •  MBWA – Manage by walking around.
  • Involvement and input are required with the Portfolio Manager for the selection of service providers.
  • Assure full compliance of all service providers with property specifications and standards.
  • Responsible for daily inspection and supervise Preventive Maintenance plans o Oversee the correction of maintenance issues that relate to the interior space and exterior of the building, as applicable
  • Manage property to identify, prevent, address, and eliminate all environmental, health, and safety issues.
  • Conduct regular periodic fire and life safety inspections.
  • Provide records destruction services as needed to protect proprietary information.
  • Monitor utility usage and make adjustments in usage patterns to minimize costs
  • Provide project management services for small projects as directed by management. Additionally, the Facility Manager is involved and serves as a resource for all interior planning, furniture reconfiguration, and internal moves of the clients.
  • Conduct periodic property reviews to prepare and maintain plans for handling major storms, security risks, and other extraordinary events.
  • Maintain a liaison relationship with Landlords or Landlord Representatives.
  • Review and understand Leases.
  • Produce monthly reports, including an operations summary of completed and planned operations activity.
  • Assist Project Management and Engineering, Design and Construction personnel – Protect the property.
  • Provide for the provisioning of administrative / office services as needed by client occupant organizations

Qualifications

  • B.Eng. in Mechanical engineering or any other engineering field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Facility Manager
  • Proven experience working in an FM space
  • Strong technical background
  • Knowledge of basic accounting and finance principles
  • Good Reporting skills
  • Relevant professional qualifications e.g. IFM, PFM, IFMA, etc. will be an advantage.
  • Member of Christ Embassy church will be an added advantage
