Responsibilities

  • Oversee the scheduling, assignments, and daily workflow of subordinate staff in the department.
  • Conduct constructive and timely performance evaluations.
  • Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non‐mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments.
  • Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verification.
  • Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.

Finance Officer

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos

Responsibilities

  • Manage and Monitor account receivables and payables as required.
  • Has the primary responsibility to produce accurate and timely financial results; managing and running of all the finance activities of the company, including but not limited to business plan, budgeting, treasury, billing, credit controls, payable management, inventory and asset control, revenue assurance, financial planning, forecasting, analysis and negotiations in preserving the assets of the organization.
  • Ensure that financial transactions are properly updated and recorded.
  • File both employee taxes (PAYE) and Company Income tax accurately when required.
  • Ensure payment of all statutory remittances (Tax, Pension, Insurance etc).
  • Keep accurate record of all accounting documents including receipts, etc.
  • Align business and finance strategy to provide business advice by contributing to the planning and execution of transactions. This includes but not limited to corporate restructuring, , Capital market financing strategies and other long-term investments of the company to deliver benefits to the business to meet its strategic objective.
  • Work closely with the CEO and top management on the long-term strategic vision of the company including fostering and cultivating stakeholder’s relationship at different levels, whilst providing support for the leadership of the different divisions in executing the business strategy, driving change and initiatives for business improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Professional qualifications such as ICAN, ACA, ACCA is compulsory.

  • Treasury and Cash management experience is a must-have

Job Description

  • Oversee daily center operations and coordinates center activities through assigned staff; prioritizes and delegates work activities.
  • Participate in, and support other members of the team to participate in programs, education and training, and other opportunities offered by City Sports Group.
  • Ensure adherence to relevant quality and safety, professional and healthcare standards and mandatory education related to risk management, occupational health and safety, and other relevant areas.

  • Prepare periodic reports, and records on center projects, progress, status or other special reports for management or outside agencies.

  • Book and schedule facility and services for center projects/events; negotiates and prepares rental contract determining fees and terms of contract; estimates costs and determines project/event budgets
