Roles & Responsibilities
Sales Management:

  • Execute branch sales strategy reflective of the local market conditions to ensure that sales targets are met. This includes having product knowledge, cross selling and keeping up to date with changes and developments in the local market/area to drive optimal achievement sales opportunities.
  • Conducts daily meetings with the sales team and carry out reviews on the previous day and jointly plan for the week ahead.
  • Manages and maintains current business relationships and seek new accounts through sales
  • Engage in business development activities and solicitation of new business; be actively involved in instilling and maintaining a positive sales environment through education of the Bank’s products and services. Ability to identify an acceptable level of lending risk, in line with the bank’s risk appetite statement, and to maximize profit from that transaction.
  • Comply with the Bank’s complaint resolution process to resolve the matter, maintain our high service standards and mitigate further risks / losses.
  • Minimize risks through adherence to KYC compliance as per the bank policies and procedures in all your operations to minimize losses due to frauds.
  • Discuss loan terms and conditions, and conduct collateral risk analysis to ensure compliance with the banks policies and procedures
  • Contributes to the growth of deposits, loans and overdrafts to increase profitability of the branch.
  • Extract and analyze financial statements, cash flow forecasts and other complex financial reports, providing accurate assessment

Requirements

  • B.Sc in Banking and Finance,Business Administration, or any other related field.
  • 4 years of work experience in Commercial/Retail Business at any reputable bank or financial institution is a Must.

Job Description

  • This position is required to provide senior strategic leadership of business development to grow market share and increase income through full cost and commercial expansion, along with planning and overseeing marketing and lead generation.

Reporting:

  • The Chief Business Officer reports to the Executive Director, Business Development

Responsibilities

  • To lead on implementation, reporting and reviewing of strategic and operational sales and marketing plans to drive sales and revenue.
  • Manage sales and marketing budgets, ensuring financial effectiveness and utilise resources in a cost-effective manner.
  • To line and project manage the sales and marketing team, ensuring full and open inter-divisional working to fulfil Company objectives and targets.
  • Manage and deliver relevant budgets and produce monthly high-level reports for the Senior Management Team Meetings.
  • Management of an Effective Sales Process supported throughout the organisation.
  • Ensure commercial procedures are maintained by sharing best practice and continual improvement to protect the Company’s commercial position.
  • Develop and oversee the delivery of a well-informed sales strategy, ensuring this leads to a results-driven action plan with clear lines of accountability.
  • Lead the development of strategic alliances with external stakeholders to identify future business needs and areas of revenue growth/opportunities to maximise income and client satisfaction.
  • Develop and negotiate effective pricing strategies which ensure the financial viability of all sales bids, tenders and proposals. Lead on the preparation and submission of bids, tenders and proposals

Skills & Requirements

  • Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree qualification.
  • 8 – 10 years experience in commercial bank is a MUST.
  • Proven work experience as Chief/Senior Business Officer is a MUST.
  • Female Preferably.
  • At least 7 years experience in leading sales and marketing team with proven success in developing and driving strategic commercial growth
  • Ability to build relationship with key decision makers.
  • Strong Business Development and Organisation skills.
