EdFin Microfinance Bank is the first specialized bank for education in Nigeria. The bank which is dedicated solely to funding the education eco-space in Nigeria aims to positively disrupt the standard and quality of education in Nigeria, by providing the much-needed financial resources and services to the education sector.

Job Purpose

  • Serves as a company leader, overseeing day-to-day operations and focusing on the long-term interests. of the business.
  • Pursues business opportunities and manages functions such as company associations, employee activities and evaluations, and other matters that relate to a company’s operations.
  • Plays an important role in marketing or corporate management.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement commercial strategies according to company goals and objectives aiming to accelerate growth
  • Conduct market research and analysis to create detailed business plans on commercial opportunities (expansion, business development etc.)
  • Understand the requirements of existing customers to ensure their needs are being met
  • Act to acquire customers and manage client relationships ( and existing)
  • Collaborate with and coordinate diverse teams (marketing, sales, customer service etc.)
  • Build and maintain profitable partnerships with key stakeholders
  • Monitor performance of commercial activities using key metrics and prepare reports for senior management
  • Assist in setting financial targets, budget development and monitoring
  • Responsible for the supervision of Business Development initiatives for all clients, personnel, and resources for the department
  • Provide effective leadership guidance in business development strategy
  • Achieve profitability target of the unit responsible for asset and liability generation
  • Manage all market facing staff in the department
  • Implement and execute regular sales activities to generate business
  • Lead generation through organized sales presentations to prospects
  • Team leadership: manage and collaborate with staff to ensure successful execution strategies
  • Supervise the team in accessing prospective client’s opportunities
  • Monitor approved loans and advise clients on good management practices
  • Consistently adhere to regulatory standards and requirements
  • Any other duties that may be assigned for the advancement and achievement of the goals of EdFin bank.

Candidates Specifications
Qualifications / Experience:

  • B.Sc / BA Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or relevant field from a foreign or Nigeria private or first tier federal university.
  • A Master’s Degree / professional qualifications will be an added advantage.
  • 10 – 12 years working experience in banking; MFB or Fintech
  • Good IT skills e.g., Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Demonstrable track record and skills/experience gained within a similar position(s), at a similar level.
