Sales Representative

Location: Ayobo, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • The Sales Representative for Homeyfun Foods Ltd (HFL) would be responsible to serve as the point of contact between the business and our customers/stores with a range of responsibilities including identifying and educating prospective customers, supporting existing customers/stores,
  • Initiating the collection of receipts, cross-selling and upselling activities, store activation, supply of our products to achieve distribution and coverage objectives of the business.

Principal Duties/Responsibilities

  • Increase company’s customer base and market share through aggressive marketing and supply.
  • Enroll stores (customers) to achieve daily, weekly, monthly, & annual volume / revenue targets.
  • Solution Selling: Approach selling from a B2B and B2C business perspective and ensure that HFL products and services accurately key into the customer business interest in terms of cost, profit and packaging.
  • Feedback Approach: Approach selling with feedback perspective. Provide trustworthy feedback and after sales support to ensure that HFL products and services accurately fits in with the consumer needs in terms of cost, taste and electricity/power demands.
  • Sales Pipeline Management: Build, plan, evaluate and orchestrate sales pipelines to ensure continuous population of near- and long-term opportunities.
  • Develop & maintain record of sales, revenue, invoices and delivery records that capture Store Name, Contact Person, Address and Phone Numbers of customers in assigned routes, Amount Supplied, Invoice No., Receivables and Cheques Received.
  • Map out and maintain a Lead Management list of prospective customers that capture Store Name, Contact Person, Address and Phone Numbers of customers in assigned routes, Amount to supply and personal remarks, which should also convert to sales for the Company
  • Balance quick wins against longer sales-cycle opportunities to ensure both immediate wins and long-term profitability for HFL.
  • Support Van Sales Rep to conduct supply and deliver our mobile assets while updating customers of current terms of supply.
  • Take the lead in promoting HFL products and analysing competitor behaviour.
  • Account for the safe and timeous delivery of supplied products.
  • Contact potential clients through cold calls and emails.
  • Responsible for signing sales contracts, receive purchase orders, and collecting payments
  • Professionally review with the Customers their performance in line with agreed supply target.
  • Manage existing customers to ensure continuous supply of our products.
  • Create frequent reviews and reports with sales and financial data as may be determined by your Manager.
  • Know what the competition is doing and share industry-specific information and developments
  • Promoting sales through regular calls to customer, handle objections and Negotiate/close deals
  • Build key relationship with existing key customer to ensure customer retention and anticipate customer needs..


  • Possess an OND / HND / B.Sc preferably in any Social Science/Management Science discipline
  • Successful prior experience in FMCG Sales and distribution role, consistently meeting or exceeding targets required
  • Use of sales tools to establish/follow up leads and drive sales
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate fluently and present engaging presentations.
  • Extensive experience in identifying customers and negotiating deals.
  • Understanding of sales performance metrics.
  • Experience in basic recordkeeping and managing sales contracts
  • Proven ability to follow instructions intelligently, consistently and with humility
