Summary
- As an Accountant, you will be responsible for maintaining financial procedures and systems, accounting, auditing, reporting, collection, accuracy, tax, budgeting, and working capital management for the Company.
Job Duties / Responsibilities / Accountabilities
- Provide appropriate and accurate accounting.
- Provide appropriate cost control, and other financial management information to meet the needs of management, the board, and other recognized stakeholders.
- Provide overall direction in Accounting, Funds Management, and other Accounting strategies for efficiency.
- Ensure adequate preparation and rendition of financial reports to the management, Auditors, Board, and regulatory bodies.
- Undertake tax management and planning to ensure tax efficiency for the company.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and monthly budgetary control reports.
- Relate with Account and Tax Auditors for annual audits
- Prepare other ad-hoc reports as may be required to establish performance objectives and targets.
- Substantiate financial transactions by auditing documents.
- Maintain accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.
- Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information/invoices.
- Secure financial information by completing database backups.
- Prepare payments by verifying documentation and requesting disbursements.
- Maintain financial security by following internal controls, rack transactions on balance sheets, and report any discrepancies.
- Prepare asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
