HR Generalist at Edge Recruiter Nigeria

Job Title: HR Generalist | Edge Recruiter | Job Location: Ikeja, Lagos, Nigeria.

Our client is one of the leading multinational telecommunication companies with their headquarter in Lagos, Nigeria and they are seeking to hire an HR Generalist. The Human Resource Generalist will run the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Administering compensation and benefit plans
  • Assisting in talent acquisition and recruitment processes
  • Conducting employee onboarding and help plan training & development
  • Provide support to employees in various HR-related topics such as leaves and compensation and resolve any issues that may arise
  • Promote HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace
  • Assist in development and implementation of human resource policies
  • Undertake tasks around performance management
  • Gather and analyze data with useful HR metrics, like time to hire and employee turnover rates
  • Organize quarterly and annual employee performance reviews
  • Maintain employee files and records in electronic and paper form
  • Enhance job satisfaction by resolving issues promptly, applying new perks and benefits and organizing team building activities
  • Ensure compliance with labor regulations
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • At least two (2) years of human resource management experience preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems.
