Purpose

  • The accounts payable Officer (APO) take overall responsibility in capturing, documenting and maintaining of all vendor transactions, updating and reconciling of all vendors payment, initiate and ensure timely payment of aged invoice ,mitigating and escalate against any fraudulent invoice or duplication and as well track and follow up on purchase shipment in transits, liaise and maintain all subsidiary agent.

Duties

  • Calculate, post business transactions, process invoices, verify financial data for use in maintaining accounts payable records, and provide other clerical support necessary to  pay the obligations of the organization.
  • Maintain copies of vouchers, invoices or correspondence necessary for files
  • Establish or identify prices of goods, services, or admission, and tabulate bills using calculators,  cash registers, or optical price scanners.
  • Keep periodic balance sheets of amounts and numbers of transactions.
  • Provide full accounting support to Finance Department.
  • Reconciling and balancing all vendors or the daily account at the end of each day.
  • Establish or identify prices of goods so as to double-check the cost of the same as  documented on the sales quote for customers.
  • Resolve customer complaints on defective product and initiate returns to vendor
  • Answer customers’ questions and provide information on procedures or policies.
  • Calculate total payments received during a time period and reconcile this with total sales.
  • Sort, count, wrap, and bank all cash received.
  • Process product returns and exchanges.
  • Ensure that all purchased stock to the outlet’s store is properly captured into the system and cash journal.
  • Ensure correct product purchase prices are keyed in and change in same affected when advised by the finance department.
  • Ensure all stock paid for are properly captured in the system and shipped alike.
  • Ensure all stock paid for but unpicked products are captured in backorder.
  • Ensure all source documents required by the Finance department are sent in on a daily basis.

Qualifications

  • ICAN / HND / Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy is required Only (From a Reputable Institution)
  • Knowledge on Sage Peachtree, Busy Accounting and XPS  is an Advantage.

Requirements:

  • Applicant must be a qualified experienced Accountant
  • Ability to write and type fast with excellent handwriting

  • Must possess the strong analytical and numerical skill

Secretary

Location: Lagos

Purpose

  • Takes overall responsibility for the coordination of all legal and company secretarial matters relating to the company and ensure the provision of adequate advisory services on all legal issues.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Identify and manage group legal risks.
  • Provide legal advice on the company’s transactions and other related matters concerning the company
  • Manage the company’s relationships with external solicitors and ensure that the company is properly represented in all litigations concerning it.
  • Provide statutory Company Secretarial services and act as Secretary to the Board of Directors and all standing committees of the company
  • Advise, interpret and communicate all legal issues, opinions, laws, rules, guidelines, statutes, especially as regards company’s businesses, to staff and management
  • Provide firm but fair opinion on all legal matters to the company
  • Review; draft MOUs, legal agreements, business undertaking/agreement and security documentation between the company and external parties.
  • Liase with shipper council and shipping company in relation to claim matter Liaise with government agencies for the smooth running of the company (such as filing of papers at CAC, etc.)
  • Draft and Response to all co-operate emails and business correspondence.
  • Execute and perform all other related job functions within the job related scope.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Good First Degree in Law from a reputable Institution
  • A higher degree or professional qualification such as LLM will be an added advantage
  • Must have 1 – 5 years of proven post call practice experience.
  • Must have strong Advocacy skills Good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite-word and excel.
  • Ideal age should be between 25-40 years.

Store Keeper / Inventory Manager

Location: Lagos
Job Field: Inventory Management / Store-keeping / Supply Chain

Job Description

  • To ensure that all-stock transaction and inventory movement (both inbound and outbound stock) are captured into the inventory register and accounting system at  all times e.g SAGE X3 ERP.
  • To ensure that goods received are of the quality and the quantity ordered and in accordance with the agreed quantity and price.
  • Monitor stock levels, prepare requisitions for stock replenishment and provide  daily issuance reports to accounts.
  • Ensure availability of storage space and maintain orderliness and cleanliness of the cold room at all times.
  • Perform daily physical count of inventories of the opening and closing stocks in the store before and after-sales daily and as well perform reconciliation with actual  available stock.
  • To ensure maximum security of all storeroom areas, that no unauthorized person enters the stores or is issued with a key allowing access.
  • Investigates and escalates any unusual shortages and reports them to the manager either at the point of receipt or issuing out of the product.
  • To ensure that all items are stored correctly, in terms of temperature, humidity,  and shelf life and that no product inside the cold room are stored on the floor
  • Implement First-In-First-Out (FIFO) principle in the stock management;
  • Arrange trucks and supervise laborers for loading and offloading of products in or  out of the cold room.
  • Prepare and submit weekly and monthly stock reconciliation reports to the Stock  Manager detailing shortages, overages, damages or discrepancies in the inventory  levels and making recommendations as appropriate.
  • To provide and present detailed daily, weekly and monthly stock reports to the  management, analysis and forecast trend and escalate non-moving items and  recommendations.
  • Research, forecast, and advice the organization on price trends, base on market  analysis.
  • Timely fulfillment of all stock ordering in the right quantity and order as well as to  ensure the swift processing of stock with the above aim that would translate to the  satisfaction of all respective clients.
  • To work closely and liaise with the procurement department, sales department, Inventory Help Desk, internal audit, finance department as well the logistic  department to ensure the smooth operation of the organization.
  • Adhere strictly to the company’s rules and regulations; Ensure implementation of all warehouse systems and policies . Carry-out other tasks that may be assigned to you periodically.

Requirements

  • B.Sc / HND qualification in Accountancy, Economics or in any other related Management discipline  from a recognized university
  • At least 2 years cognate experience;
  • Trustworthy, Transparent and Analytical
  • Ability to work under pressure.
