The Company commenced production of its flagship product Trophy Lager in December 1978 with an installed capacity of 200,000 hectoliters per annum.In December 1982, the Company embarked on an expansion programme. The company was listed on the floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchange in April 1995.In January 2012 SABMiller entered into a strategic alliance with the Castel group who were majority shareholders at the time.

Laboratory Technician (Micro)

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Carry out specialized and highly specialized quality analyses for which the shift-based teams are not responsible
  • Record the results of analyses on appropriate information systems and communicate results where required
  • Conduct analysis of results to identify problems and improvement opportunities timeously
  • Assist the shift-based teams in the execution of quality analysis, where required
  • Conduct calibration of specialist equipment for which the labs are responsible and provide calibration assistance to the shift-based teams where required
  • Conduct required and requested quality audits, completing the appropriate documentation and communicating the results
  • Review quality analysis procedures of shift-based teams, identifying problems or training needs and communicating these to the team leader
  • Conduct regular audits of calibration procedures of shift-based production teams and communicating results
  • Conduct audits of analytic procedures to ensure compliance with COT guidelines, and identifying corrective actions required
  • Where required, initiate corrective actions coming out of the quality audits in areas that impact the laboratory
  • Support the shift-based production teams in problem-solving, providing specialist assistance and techniques
  • Coach, mentor and assist shift-based production teams on problem-solving and correct use of problem-solving techniques
  • Support the shift-based production teams by assisting in training needs analysis
  • Coach, mentor and assist shift-based production teams quality analyses and correct use of analytical techniques
  • Carry out specialized analyses in support of the evaluation of continuous improvement opportunities
  • Determine additional analytical work required evaluating continuous improvement opportunities
  • Take part in regional and divisional process optimization initiatives as required

Key Outputs and Responsibilities

Country Solutions Manager

Job Purpose

  • The Nigeria DTech Manager is responsible for leading the country Solutions team in Nigeria. The scope of the role includes leading in country tech operations (network, enterprise services, end user computing, applications, cyber security and compliance, and services), commercial tech demand and delivery, and  NoCC capabilities (document control and account to report support).
  • The Nigeria Dtech Manager will work closely with the Solutions zone teams to facilitate and align support and investments that drive the technology and NoCC agenda in Nigeria, while also ensuring strong country-to-country and country-to-zone Solutions communities are operating and delivering value to the Nigeria business.
  • The role will be responsible for the people and performance of the Nigeria team – along with driving functional capability, processes and results.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead the Nigeria Solutions team – including people, capabilities, processes, budgets and performance
  • Proactively engage with country stakeholders to ensure the Solutions team is exceeding customer expectations and creating value for the business
  • Support tech operations, NoCC operations and commercial product delivery (adoption and coordination) in Nigeria
  • Ensure operational SLAs are achieved and serve as a primary point of escalation between the Nigeria and zone tech operations teams
  • Facilitate connections and collaboration between the Global and Zone Solutions teams to drive results in technology and the NoCC agenda
  • Own and manage the Nigeria capex and ZBB technology budgets
  • Lead the people performance and people cycle process – actively coaching, mentoring and developing strong technology, business and leadership capabilities in the Nigeria team
  • Drive the technology and NoCC transformation agenda in Nigeria
  • Identify and act on opportunities to streamline business processes through technology
