  • We are seeking to hire an exceptional Project Lead who will champion and take the lead on planning conferences and events and also source sponsorship for project.

Strategy Development:

  • Develop event vision and objectives, speakers and content, marketing, and sponsor outreach to ensure a consistent brand message, partnership brand recognition, audience reception/interest, and a well-attended, successful event.
  • Develop a project management plan, meeting agenda, and utilize planning documents to keep clients on task and on time.
  • Develop overall work plan including timeline and budget, tracks and reports progress, evaluates results for clients to ensure that meeting solutions are appropriate for the targeted audience, meet the financial and strategic objective.
  • Drive forward process and systems improvements to support the delivery of excellent events including post-event follow-up

Project Execution:

  • Perform digital meeting event set-up and logistics, providing operational support and navigation of forward-facing and back-end functions — including virtual meetings, webinars, live-stream.
  • Develop conference sponsorship execution including management of all facets of virtual and/or in-person exhibit halls.
  • Initiate and chair all planning meetings with relevant parties
  • Conduct pre-planning meetings as needed to ensure understanding of stakeholder expectations.
  • Conduct and develop a written record of post-event briefing to review event successes, feedback, and recommendations for the future
  • Exercise considerable independent judgment in allocating time and budget resources to achieve agreed outcomes
  • Oversee meeting and event expenditures to stay within or below budget
  • Develop the creation and distribution of pre-event material by assisting with implementing, monitoring, maintaining, and improving marketing plans
  • Prepare promotional materials to advertise sales opportunities
  • Liaise with external suppliers as required to secure products and services
  • Manage the evaluation process for events, ensuring appropriate follow up is conducted, results monitored, analyzed, and reported back to clients

Sourcing Sponsorship:

  • Research and develop a list of potential sponsors for each conference
  • Research and develop a list of potential exhibitors when required
  • Develop and manage relationships with existing and potential sponsorship clients, and exhibitors
  • Keep precise records of conversation with all clients, sponsors
  • Invoice sponsors and exhibitors once agreements have been reached
  • Negotiate contracts independently with sponsors to obtain the best value and reduce risk


  • First Degree or equivalent qualification in Marketing, Recreation and Park Admin, Business Admin, Marketing, or any related course.
  • Event planning certification such as (CMP, CSEPS) is an advantage.


  • Experience in all aspects of creating, planning, and managing conferences/events in a related field, such as marketing or conference services in Nigeria.
  • Proven executive level leadership contribution.
  • Experience negotiating and forming strategic partnerships; sponsorship relationships preferred.
  • Proven people management skills particularly with team building and cohesion.
  • Experience with virtual and hybrid events is an added advantage.
  • Ability to manage and deliver on tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work under no close supervision.
  • Attention to details.
  • Experience with analyzing conference metrics/analytics coupled with ideas of generating feedback.
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft office suite.
  • Working knowledge of and exposure to agile software development teams.
