JOB SUMMARY 

The Personal Assistant to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) will be responsible for providing high-level,  confidential administrative support to the office of the CEO. She will be responsible for all clerical,  administrative and project-based duties which include but not limited to scheduling travel, organizing  meetings, handling information requests, preparing reports and correspondence, and liaising with board members.  

The Personal Assistant will also manage the CEO’s schedule and workload, while ensuring he is adequately  prepared for meetings. She may be required to prepare the meeting agenda and provide needed background  information to the CEO, assist in the planning and coordination of projects, and independently manage some  project elements. 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Responsible for completing all tasks assigned by the CEO in an efficient and timely manner. • Responsible for performing administrative tasks such as preparing invoices, estimates, scheduling  meetings, etc. 

• Responsible for arranging travel and logistics for the CEO which may include booking flights, car rental  and hotel accommodations. 

• Responsible for arranging meetings, providing needed background information and completing  expense report for reimbursement after the trip. 

• Responsible for communicating with stakeholders regarding project needs and goals. • Ensure contribution to the planning and development of projects. 

• Responsible for supporting the coordination and management of projects.

 Conducting research on information required by the CEO. 

• Responsible for keeping track of and reporting on project progress. 

• Responsible for liaising with board members and performing duties such as scheduling board meetings,  handling logistics of board meetings, sending materials for review prior to the meetings, taking and  distributing notes, and fielding general queries from board members. 

• Responsible for providing general administrative and clerical task such as answering phone, faxing, mailing, filing and photocopying. 

• Responsible for arranging logistics for visitors, coordinating conference calls, transcribing notes and  typing correspondence. 

JOB REQUIREMENTS 

• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree and must be versatile in selected field of specialization. • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a personal assistant to the MD/CEO. 

• Strong computer skills with demonstrated experience in Microsoft office suite including Word and  Excel. 

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 

• Exceptional time management skill, people skills, strong customers service focus and exemplary work  ethics. 

• Great attention to details and a result driven approach. 

• Outstanding organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks. 

• Ability to thrive in a high-volume, deadline-driven work environment. 

• Ability to proactively address potential issues. 

• Must be diplomatic, discrete and highly attentive to details.

Litigation and Corporate Lawyer

Job Responsibilities

  • Evaluating findings, developing strategies and arguments in preparation and presentation of cases.
  • Gathering evidence to formulate defence or to initiate legal actions, by such means as interviewing clients and witnesses to ascertain the facts of a case.
  • Examining legal data to determine advisability of defending or prosecuting lawsuit.
  • Advising clients of the legal and business implications of proposed transactions, anticipating legal and contractual concerns and devising strategies to resolve them.
  • Providing expert advice on Joint Ventures, Corporate Restructuring, Management buyouts and other partnership arrangements and be capable of drafting all relevant documentation.
  • Conducting and concluding contractual negotiations on behalf of various clients.
  • Liaising with lawyers in other parts of Legal or elsewhere in the Group to ensure a coordinated input of legal advice to the client.
  • Maintaining effective working relationships with key clients.
  • Protecting the company interests, by ensuring all necessary checks and investigations are undertaken (e.g. undertaking all necessary due diligence/disclosure exercises as appropriate).
  • Responding to court processes that need a reaction at least 72 hours before deadline so as to enable adequate review before filing
  • Notifying Clients, subject to supervisor/partner’s approval of every development in cases assigned to team.
  • Reading Judgments and decisions in all cases handled by the firm as such decisions are delivered.
  • Overseeing and managing product liability litigation caseload and other cases of company-wide significance.
  • Developing and executing litigation strategy, manage discovery obligations, manage outside counsel, determine proper case disposition, and monitor litigation budgets expenses.
  • Evaluating and managing pre-litigation corporate disputes.
  • Advising business units concerning various matters, including product warnings, product use instructions, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Leading or participating in significant internal investigations.

Job Requirements

  • A good academic qualification with at least a second-class upper degree from a recognized university and the Nigerian Law School. Relevant post graduate qualifications will be an added advantage.
  • 10+ years active experience in Litigation and Corporate law
  • Ability to handle complex corporate litigation cases, such as trials at the State and Federal High Courts, Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court and confirmation on the number of cases concluded or appeals argued.
  • Strong legal ability, a practical commercial approach and excellent drafting and communication skills.

  • Ability to work without any supervision.
