Job Description

  • We are recruiting for a Production Supervisor that understands seed production in Nigeria. He will be saddled with managing growers’ field to deliver in terms of quality and quantity.

Responsibilities

  • Recruitment of seed growers
  • Training of seed growers
  • Crop inspections, assisting growers in planting and crop maintenance
  • Advising growers on proper seed harvesting methods
  • Carrying out seed sampling at distribution depots
  • Maintenance of inspection reports and other certification details
  • Attending to grower complaints
  • Ensure all seed deliveries and grower payments have been done in accordance with the contracts
  • Prepare progress reports and ensure that all relevant production information is sent to the business head and relevant departments
  • Maintenance and reconciliation of all seed production records
  • Ensure optimum asset utilization and security
  • Ensure adequate controls to minimize risk in the seed production chain
  • Liaise frequently with other supply chain functions and Quality Assurance to ensure the reliable supply and delivery of seed in Nigeria
  • Set and monitor subordinate staffs’ annual goals in alignment with the functional performance targets and carry out performance evaluation at the end of the financial year
  • Training of all field and processing officers, build and maintain an effective team.
  • Promote an actively caring culture for safety amongst all personnel, growers and contractors.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a second-class upper University Degree in Agronomy or similar area of expertise. MSC holder in Agronomy or other relevant course will have an advantage
  • Hands on experience and technical proficiency in field production and technical proficiency in seed processing activities – above 2 years’ prior experience.

Sales Agronomist Officer – Bauchi, Benue, Katsina & Kwara

Responsibilities
The Sales Agronomist Officer role will include but not limited to:

  • The engagment of farmers and visitors to the sales node
  • The ability to interact with customers and provide convincing information on GAP

Requirements

  • Proficency in Microsoft powerpoint and Excel
  • Excellent customer service relation skills
  • Ability to work in the field and stay in the rural areas of the job location
  • Ability speak the local dialect of the job location will be an added advantage.
