Responsibilities

Inventory Assistant
Location: Ikoyi, Lagos | Employment Type: Full-time | White Tree Gourmet
Responsibilities
- Periodically participates in physical inventory counts to ensure accuracy of records versus actual physical counts and assists in resolving discrepancies.
- Ensure that the arrangement of goods is done in an orderly system within the stock location system so that the stock can be stored easily and retrieved whenever there is a requirement. Also ensure that the stocks stay physically protected in the warehouse.
- Supervise the offloading process, the subsequent arrangement of merchandise, material, etc., and consignment so that it can be accessed and identified easily.
- Ensure the correct and timely valuation of the inventory and be involved in directing and managing procedures related to offloading, packing and unpacking.
- Keeping a close eye on the movement of stock from in and out of the warehouse.
- Prepare and submit inventory control reports to Inventory Manager.
- Respond to enquiries regarding products and inventories.
- Perform inventory control to ensure optimal inventory levels.
- Maintain inventory reports according to standard documentation and archiving procedures.
- Count and record merchandises received according to store policies.
- Ensure that merchandises received are in accordance with purchase order specifications.
- Investigate and report stock discrepancies to the Inventory Manager.
- Ensure efficient transfer of stock items to various locations using the company’s inventory software.
- Assist in ensuring no more than 24 hours turnaround period between stock receipt, stock capture on system and stock shelf display at supermarket.
